What is the dress code for the Vatican, and are there any restrictions at the Colosseum?
The Vatican has a strict dress code: shoulders must be covered (no sleeveless tops) and knees must be covered (no shorts above the knee). This applies to all genders. Scarves or wraps are available near the entrance if needed. The Colosseum has no specific dress code, but comfortable walking shoes are essential, the site involves ancient cobblestones and uneven surfaces. Flip-flops or sandals with heels are not recommended.
