Visit Palermo's most famous neighborhoods

This city has so many to offer in one enjoyable bike tour! The guide will offer you an essential historical overview of Palermo, which, with its long history, has a remarkable and unique artistic and architectural heritage. During this bike ride you will have the chance to admire the stratification of styles of Palermo architecture and culture. The ArabicNorman, and Byzantine empires all contribute to the fascinating history of Palermo. The tour  starts in the historic center, where you will pick up their bikes and helmets and receive a safety briefing from yout local guide. The group will then set off on a leisurely ride through Palermo's winding streets and alleyways, passing by landmarks such as the Teatro Massimo, the Cathedral of Palermo, and the Quattro Canti. Along the way, the guide will share fascinating stories and insights into the city's rich history and cultural heritage.

Cycle around the streets of the city centre

You will be impressed by the symbol of the city, the famous cathedral of Palermo, which is one of the oldest churches in the world. You will have the opportunity to admire the many architectural features of the Martorana Church, which is heavily influenced by both the Arabs and Normans. Your guide will also bring you to pass by the Palazzo dei Normanni which houses the beautiful Palatine Chapel with several Byzantine mosaics. Biking in the city center of Palermo will allow you to cover more ground than you would on foot, while still enjoying an up-close view of the city's historic and cultural treasures. It's also an eco-friendly and healthy way to explore, providing a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of the city's traffic and crowds.

Enjoy a tasty Sicilian break

After a long bike ride, it is time for you to rest, breathe some fresh air and tasting a great Sicilian granita. If you think that granita is just a refreshing crushed ice flavoured with fruit to cool offer in the relentless sun, you have never tried the Sicilian version! This semi-frozen dessert is made of sugar and water before the flavourings are added. The Sicilian version is coarser than you’ll get on the mainland. Granita is a refreshing Sicilian dessert made with shaved ice, sugar, and fruit juice or coffee, and is a popular treat during the hot summer months. The group will stop at a local café or gelateria to sample this delicious treat and take a short break from cycling. A perfect way to appreciate even more the many tales told about Sicily's capital.

Rain policy

The tour will never be cancelled due to rain.

Concerning specifically the bike tour, we will do our best to proceed with the bike tour, however, in case of heavy rain, we might decide to stop the bike tour and proceed with a walking tour instead (or just start with a walking tour if the weather does not allow to use the bikes at the time of the meeting point). 2) Rain check (of the same amount clients paid) to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date. It has a value that can be possible used in any other tour provided by our company.

Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the possible rain".
