Travel from Rome to Naples by high-speed train, followed by a private transfer to the ruins of Pompeii. There, you’ll meet a licensed archaeologist who will guide you through the ancient streets, homes, and public buildings of the city buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Witness perfectly preserved frescoes, mosaics, and the haunting plaster casts that capture Pompeii’s final moments. After the tour, enjoy a smooth return journey back to Rome.
