ONE OF THE MOST EXCLUSIVE SPACES IN FLORENCE: THE VASARI CORRIDOR
But the very highlight of the tour is yet to come!
In 2016, the Vasari Corridor was closed to safeguard this most precious space. Towns of Italy (at the time, operating as Florencetown) was the very first tour operator to organize and manage regularly scheduled tours available to the public along this legendary elevated walkway. 2025 Marks the return of the Vasari Corridor, Florence’s most exclusive and historic space, reopening after nearly a decade of closure. And we are ready to take you inside this marvel, offering an unparalleled opportunity to rediscover a masterpiece of architectural ingenuity and historical significance. Designed by esteemed architect Giorgio Vasari for the Medici Grand Dukes, the Vasari Corridor offers a unique perspective of Florence, connecting the Uffizi Gallery to the Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace across the Arno River, presenting a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
A GATEWAY TO RENAISSANCE SPLENDOR
The Vasari Corridor is an architectural marvel that connects some of Florence's most iconic landmarks. It begins at the historic Palazzo Vecchio, continues through the Uffizi Gallery, and crosses the Arno River via the world-famous Ponte Vecchio. From there, it winds through a series of historic buildings, offering hidden views and unparalleled perspectives of the city, before reaching its endpoint at Palazzo Pitti.
Walking through the corridor is like stepping into a time capsule that encapsulates Florence’s Renaissance glory. The route not only provides a unique vantage point over the city’s stunning art and architecture but also unveils the hidden stories of the Medici family, whose influence shaped much of Florence's history.
This exclusive experience offers a rare opportunity to witness the grandeur of Florence from above, giving you a deeper appreciation of the city's unparalleled cultural and artistic legacy.
