The tour begins with a pick-up from the meeting point in Taormina or Giardini Naxos by an expert driver who will accompany you on the trip. You will then board a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle for the approximately one-hour drive to Mount Etna. Once arrived, after a quick briefing and safety check, you'll be provided with an e-bike, helmet, and other necessary equipment. The e-bike will make the journey easier, as it will provide you with pedal-assistance to help you conquer the steep hills and slopes of the mountain. As you set off on your journey, following your guide you'll be able to take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. You'll ride through ancient forests, stunning secular trees, and moonscape corners, all while experiencing the thrill of cycling on an e-bike. The trail is off road so an intermediate level is required to take part to the e-bike tour, on a route of about 15/18 km in total.
An active experience into the nature of the volcano
You'll continue your journey by e-bike through the mountain's rugged terrain. You'll have the opportunity to explore ancient lava fields, rugged volcanic landscapes, and remote mountain villages. Your tour guide will provide you with interesting facts and information about the history and geology of Mount Etna as you explore. As you approach the mountain on your e-bike, you will start to see the signs of volcanic activity all around you. The landscape changes from lush greenery to stark black lava fields, and you'll begin to feel the heat emanating from the ground. Along the way, if possible and conditions allow, there will also be a stop to visit one of the many fascinating lava flow caves on the volcano. These caves were formed by the flow of lava during past eruptions, and they offer visitors a chance to explore the unique underground landscape of the volcano.
Time for Sicilian lunch on the volcano
After this rejuvenating cycle, it will be time to stop for a delicious lunch. The menu typically consists of traditional Sicilian dishes: you'll have plenty of time to rest and enjoy your meal while taking in the beautiful views of the mountain. IMPORTANT - Minimum height requirement: please note that we cannot accomodate guests under the height of 155cm (5ft 1").

Rain policy
Provided that we will do our best to proceed with the tours, avoiding the rain and thus possibly carrying out the tour with our vehicle until and if the rain should stop and road conditions will guarantee a safe tour. If it does not stop raining, the entire tour will be conducted in the safety and comfort of the vehicle.
Since we are aware that the experience running today, might not be the one you had wished for, we are hereby giving you the following choices, to be communicated to our Staff DURING THE CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:
1) Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather – PARTIAL activities or NO activities due to heavy RAIN Customers can decide to proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather with the understanding that It will NOT be granted any refund or discount. We will do our best to accommodate you, weather permitting.
2) Reschedule the tour for another day, subject to availability. Please contact our Booking office in order to ask for availability and rescheduling the experience. If no suitable date / time is available for the reschedule, you will be able to choose any other experience available, upon availability, with an equal or less value, or eventually an experience with a higher value, paying only the difference.
3) A credit, called Rain Check, (of the same amount clients paid) to be used the following days or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to the client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date. It has a value that can be possibly used in any other tour provided by our company. Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the rain". We ask clients to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure, to check the weather conditions and choose accordingly. No-shows will not be refunded.
